Find Your Own Truth



I want to bring to your attention other organizations who are fighting the good fight. It comes with a proviso, however.
None of these organizations in any way support or are part of this blog. By listing them here, I do not want anyone to associate my politics and method of informing the public with any of these organizations. I have found these listings on the internet and am providing them here for your information/public service only.
Gravel Watch Ontario is an absolute invaluable resource for any organization battling a mine/quarry or pit:

    Hello,
    I really appreciate the research you are doing and sharing with us on this blog. I have been doing lots of my own digging (so to speak) and I am feeling overwhelmed.
    Do you have any updates as to when the proposal with actually be put forward? Do we still have a chance to stop this or is it essentially a done deal? What can be done at this point?

    I will reply in a blog post tomorrow and answer all your questions.

    In the meantime, rest assured, all is NOT lost and this is NOT a done deal. There is much that can and is being done. The more people like yourself that take an interest and can assist in any way, the better.

    Great! Thanks so much. I will look forward to reading your next entry.
    So far, I have written letters to the editor of The Globe & Mail, David Suzuki Foundation, Grand River Conservation Authority, and Six Nations... to try and elicit more support and coverage. I am sure some of these people have been contacted already but I figure it can't hurt to hear it again.
    I am hoping there is more I can do.
