Orangeville to take $3.1M revenue hit in next 10 years
http://www.orangeville.com/news/local/article/1005303--town-to-take-3-1m-revenue-hit-in-next-10-yearsThis is about an OMB ruling on Development Charges that didn't go in favour of Mayor Robbing Adams - so now the taxpayers will pay, yet again.
In my opinion I would think it makes him all the more desperate to get his $5 for the sale of Orangeville's rail line and a $2 million BONUS when County land, land Orangeville doesn't even own, but do hold a weighted vote, gets sold to Highlands too.
We need to put our facebooks together and start networking the ratepayers of Orangeville. Everytime I talk to one about the mine they do not have a clue. I belief that if they have the right information about their Mayor and the mine they will get on board.
ReplyDeleteSHHH-don't tell Orangeville Council, but I believe there is going to be a public meeting in Orangeville about this. Since the Mayor and Council of Orangeville don't feel it is necessary to inform their citizens, someone else will do it for them.
ReplyDeleteMono and Mulmur "doesnt even own" the rail line either but they get a few votes???
ReplyDeleteThe COUNTY owns the rail line which means every single citizen in Dufferin owns the Rail bed. So every municipality in Dufferin gets a vote(s). The ONLY municipality who is getting a bonus if COUNTY land sells, is Orangeville, who by the way holds 12 votes out o the potential 27 votes. Coincidence?
ReplyDelete"which means every single citizen in Dufferin owns the Rail bed" so Orangville has the most people in Dufferin so why wouldnt/shouldnt they get more votes?
ReplyDeleteI love the freedom of speech on, I see some comments have been deleted? What is with that?
