"COMING TO A FIELD NEAR YOU???"

Is it true that Bonnefield, the protector of farmland, who purchased 7,500 acres of land from Highlands that had been subject to the mega quarry proposal has plans for a new farming operation on 100 acres of land? A solar farm seems to be the rumour on the street. That didn't take long.

  1. Can't put a solar farm on prime agricultural land. Would have to demonstrate that whatever portion of the land they're putting the solar farm on is considered non-prime (anything under Class 3).

  2. Hypocritical that wind turbines can go up when solar panels can't. How many in Melancthon now? 119 with 49 proposed by Dufferin Wind Power. Hmmm ...

  3. Class 1 or 3, this means another 100 acres of farmland out of commission, not being used to grow food. NOT a good move for this company.
