  1. Comment deleted at the discretion and bias of Minebuster. This is a quarry site. Take other issues to other sites.

  2. We meed to be thankful that there are people like Ralph in our world.

  3. NOTHING has touched me more than Ralph's video interview when he talked about "principles". What a class act this man is.....

  4. Ralph and his wife, to my mind, are the quintessential farmers. Amidst all the hurly burly that surrounds this issue, the Armstrong's represent the principles, dignity and respect that should be the underpinnings of this movement.

  5. Ralph and Mary Lynne are what this is all about.

  6. Where is the button that says I love this, not just like?

  7. The question is why didn't Melancthon Council fight tooth and nail for "Ralph and Mary Lynne," and all they represent, from day one? Why did they just bent over for the Highland Companies? As long as I live, I will never understand this. (And please no long winded, meaningless excuses Councillors.)

  8. Maybe because the ex-Mayor is close with one of Highland's large potato farm families?

I am so proud of my Mom and Dad. At the end of the day, they can hold their heads up high because they stuck to their principles and fought for what they believe in.

A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both. Dwight Eisenhower

  12. She had a council who supported her...or led her, not sure which...and I haven't seen any improvements with the new council. The people of Melancthon, warned, prodded, begged, cried, and delivered many delegations filled with support for council to move forward. But, hey what do "the people" know? Safer to follow Jorden's "do nothing" advice. Still, I look at Ralph and Mary Lynne, the Rutledges, the Vanderzaggs... and I look back at our Council and think "how could you?" At least Judas felt remorse.

  13. Minebuster here: Once again-IF you have proof that someone, anyone, has committed a crime, contact the police. IF charges are laid, comments can be submitted about the charges laid. Until then refrain from accusing someone of illegal activity. Without proof. I will continue to delete comments that may get someone sued for liable.

  14. And it works the other way. The mutual admiration here and on Facebook has become offensive to some who continue to do a great deal. Reign it in folks and continue to look after the business at hand. This ain't no booster club.

  15. Hey 12.45 am, perhaps our local Council could get their cheque book out, do the right thing and PAY for the studies that the local grassroots organizations are doing-NOT "peer" revieweing the flawed crap that Highlands has put in front of them. If people don't give council credit, perhaps it is because they aren't earning it. Where was our Mayor at Foodstock? No where to be seen. THE biggest fund raiser put together to pay for stuff Council should be doing and did he put an appearance, nope. And if I recall over 3,000 people got their comments in on the 3,100 pages of crap Highlands submitted, but not Council. Nope, didn't have their "team" in place. Thank God there are people like Ralph to guide and lead us.

  16. There is no doubt that the Armstrongs are doing a great deal, as are others but don't confuse real participation with the recent wave of indignation and the opportunities some thrive on to advance their own agendas.

  17. Iv been to lots of partys and sometimes the later people get there the more fun it is. Party on! And welcome to the latecomers.

  18. Hey Nov. 3 12:45. Anyone who is offended by a show of respect and admiration for some of the founding members of NDACT has serious ego issues. "Reign it in?!" "Ain't no booster club?" LOL...what a goof.

  19. um, 6:55am....read again what 12:45 is saying. No doubt of the passion of the founding members, it's the newbies who seem to take over for their own agenda that is being referred to.

  20. Hmmmm....not getting that from the comment, but willing to take your word for it.

  21. This is why email is dangerous. It is hard to know the intent or people take things out of context. All i know is I know the guy in the picture and my money is on him, NOT Highlands.
