Hedge funds are not afraid of lawsuits. Make no mistake, Baupost will get as much money out of this as they can including suing whatever organization they feel necessary. They won't be happy walking away with a loss. Right now they are not heavily invested since they still have the value of the land and the farming businesses as assets. Going forward, however, they will be feeling pressure for a return on investment. Baupost must be having second thoughts and rightly so.

More and more are seeing that it never was about a quarry, farm land or water. It's about the perception of added value and hegemony/hedge money.
