OH RATS

If it wasn't for facebook I would have no material at all.

Once again, stolen openly and shamelessly from facebook:

  3. Hey H&K, agreed about minebuster.

  4. I wish I knew who Minebuster really was, cuz I'd LOVE to hang out with him, buy him a few brews, and have a ton of laughs. As it is now, my only friend in the world is John Lowndes, and he spends most of his time these days standing in the middle of 124, staring vacantly at thousands of acres and mumbling to himself about giant black holes. He USED to be such a blast, the life of every party. Then he met Seth Klarman and he's been dazed and confused ever since....

  5. LOL! "Don't have any friends!" Once again, I must ask..."What are you people...12?" You think this is about keeping friends? That's partly why we are in this mess to begin with; Council doesn't want to ruffle any feathers, lose any friends that might make the coffers a buck or two. This is about food and water. Any one of us who are serious about this issue would give up our last friend to give our kids food and water ...hell I'd eat my last friend to do that

  6. Hey H&K, I know them. Harriet and Kirk who live on the 270?

  7. Hey 11:18. Agreed as to being serious but it ain't about food and water. Never was and never will be. Food was already industrial and water is purposeful fear mongering to add value to the holdings. It's all about positioning and perpetuating.

  8. Um....8:37, if you were at the NDACT meeting yesterday, you heard the gentleman from Walkerton speak about the disaster that happened there twelve years ago and STILL keeps that town reeling with the consequences of contaminated water. That is NOT "fear mongering". That is a discussion about the very real result of human error and disregard for the health of citizens and it would look like an afternoon in Disneyland in comparison to a screw-up by the quarry people ("we're learning as we go along") who will be managing 600 million litres of water DAILY at the giant hole being proposed in Melancthon. Fear mongering is like talking about a scary ghost that lives in the forest. Walkerton was real, the dangers here are REAL too. Positioning? The only position that's palatable now is the rear ends of Baupost's minions as they slink back to Boston. Perpetuating? Let's perpetuate the belief that food, clean air and water is more important than profit for already wealthy investors.

  9. 8:37pm What is positioning and perpetuating? I'm concerned about water ... 20-50 tonnes of ANFO per day going into source water. On second thought, perhaps you're right -- Baupost/Highland is positioning us to be perpetually compensating for their gains with our losses. Lesson A) Ammonium Nitrate is tasty. Yummy!

  10. There is no quarry. There is a financial instrument.

  11. 11:18 I don't know what you're eating, but you should try some Armstrong pork with a heaping helping of Rutledge potatoes and a side or two of veggies from the French's. Wash it down with a cool glass of Melancthon water...best in the world. Then tell me it's not about food and water.

  12. 11:18 and 1:20, you intrigue me. What do you think you know? How does fear mongering water contamination work in favour of "added value" to the "financial instrument?" Certainly, it is a big threat to invester profits according to investment writer and American, Kim Palicos. Explain your theory.

    1. Hey... I could write a book! Naw, already been done. Start with Mel Watkins and work your way up... maybe to Kim Palacios www.kimpalacios.com/. Yikes!

  13. Ok 9:12, so I assume you are talking about John Lowndes pulling a David Lowndes, but does that really leave us in any less trouble? Just another aggregate company...same threat to food and water...

    1. Same threat until there's a complete collective change.
